Marcus (Guitar) My name is Marcus Rezak. I am currently 22 years old hailing form Chicago, IL where I have spent most of life. As a full time musicians with a primary focus in performance guitar playing my goal is to play as much as possible for as many people as possible. Currently, I am in my final year at Berklee College of Music in which I will be graduating with a Bachelors of Music Degree in May of 06'.I began playing guitar at age 12 where I began playing along with my favorite rock bands, learning their songs by ear. In high school, my interests focused more into psychedelic rock forms with heavy influence in improvisation and other free form types of music. As I developed my interests in music I became interested in jazz, which is what I have been mostly studying at Berklee. I have worked with several world respected jazz musicians in which I have learned how to be a truly "musical" player. Now, I have come full circle coming back to my roots of rock and my newfound interest in jazz to create a synergy of both worlds. My performances have varied form clubs, cafes, festivals, and private engagements where I have learned how to please a crowd visually and audio logically to give a full spectrum performance in all styles. Age 23 Perform in JVC jazz festival MIAMI with a same act of KennyG and Wayne Shorter Group, show experience with George Duke and Darren Barrett as a keyboardist and Musical Director. From 16 years old, started to play drums in many bands and with some artists around Fukushima area. Came to the U.S. December 2003, and started Berklee College of Music from January 2004. Been learning Music and many styles of Drumming such as Jazz, Funk, Rock, Blues, R&B, HIP HOP, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban at Berklee and playing with numerous musicians and artists.
